Open Book

A unique exhibition of Chinese Wushu (martial arts) will take place in the General Assembly Hall at UN Headquarters in New York on Thursday, 18 August 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m, with a special appearance by movie star, martial artist and WHO Goodwill Ambassador, Mr. Jet Li.

The exhibition, which will feature 80 young performers from various countries in a variety of martial arts techniques and skills, is sponsored by the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations in partnership with the Chinese Wushu Association, under the theme "Peace, Friendship and Health".

The event will be available live and delayed on UN Webcast as well as on Time Warner Channel 150 in the New York area.
