Playing it My Way - Sachin's Autobiography

I just read this book and a good one if one wants to know more about SACHIN thru his words, apart from the general stuff which we all know about him from newspapers and internet. The best thing about the books is he talks more about his failures , injurries and how he overcame them with sheer determination and grit.

He also consistently thanks all the friends, family , support staff , groundsman and almost every one who played an important role in his career.

It's not that he is made of different metal, the secret is just his passion and love for the game more than anything else that makes him stand apart from the rest of the contemporary cricketers.

The best thing is the concluding of the book when he talks about Mr Manmohan Singh calling him personally and informing him of getting the "BARATH RATNA" award, first time a sportsman being given this highest civilian award. He tells the same to his wife when they both were having a quite time at the hotel on the day of his retirement.

I just wish him HAPPY AND HEALTHY RETIREMENT. No doubt his name will be remembered as long as the game is being played.
