Why Dollar A Day?

Dear Good Samaritans,

Being a harbinger, I have a personal bench mark in contributing to this fund and the justification behind this one is that many of you might have heard of UNMDG's (UN Millennium Development Goals) which is relatively a great effort initiated by UN and supported by the private and public organizations of the international community. Please see these links if any one has no idea of what am talking about..

OR

Primarily, there are 8 goals to be accomplished by 2015, the first one being "ERADICATION OF EXTREME POVERTY AND HUNGER"... If you look into it especially Target 1.A with some patience , you will be surprised to know that 20% of the people on this earth that is close to 1.2 billion people are below poverty circle classified as people earning LESS THAN 1 USD A DAY. So the aim of the 1st GOAL is to reduce the number of people living on this standard to HALF. Practically, a small regular coffee from a street vendor in NYC costs 1$ today.

So I want to contribute based on 1 USD A DAY which comes to $31 per month and I will do that (minimum 31$ per month and will do more if I can) no matter what for this fund. Again, this is just my criteria for contribution and you guys can have your own one. Let's say if at least 5 people can join ( as these 5 people already expressed their intent)  we can make $150 at least a month and per year it will be $1800.

I am sure, donating $1800 an year will be a great work from a small group like us. We can work out how we shall identify the potential cases like it could be any of the Individuals, Hospitals, NPO's, Orphanage Homes, Research Institutes for Cancer and AIDS and any thing. As long as we know that the money will be spent for the right cause, we will help. Think about it and again this is "NOT MANDATORY" as am pretty sure that many of you do the charity work.

The only reason I try to send you guys this kind of stuff is am a firm believer of team work and it can make a great difference as you all know. Every individual has restrictions when it comes to spending for charities or to help others . So if we do it as a team there will be influx of  great ideas and thoughts and above all the immense satisfaction and fun is matchless.

If one can do it alone, he/she can just pool up $360 an year but five people can make it $1800. Hell of a difference !!! This is like having a CHRISTMAS party on a POTLUCK basis compared to delegating the burden on the host. Unlimited GOOD FOOD and FUN unlimited too.

Thank you.
